The Cooladio gives you everything you need for a great day outdoors. The cooler features an 18-can capacity, an insulated leak proof liner and a sturdy 600-dernier nylon exterior. In addition the cooler is also MP3 ready with an audio input jack and cables for either an MP3 player or CD player. There is a speaker headset jack and an AC/DC 9 V adapter jack as well. Cooler requires a 9V battery (not included) for the speakers to work. Great combination for fun.

So thumbs up there!! But as for the radio we haven't had the opportunity to hook anything up to it yet. So I can't tell you how the speakers sound (but I'll update this review as soon as we do) but on the upside (it states) you can hook up a CD/mp3 player as where others only do one or the other and it also comes with the proper wires that hook up to the CD/mp3 player so you don't have to go and buy those sepretely. Hope this helps. --Updated-- Ok so I found out that you can also play ZUNES with this cooler along with the CD/mp3 player. Oh, and the speakers sound pretty good! The only con I've found with this is that it needs 4 AA batters (which always seem to burn out pretty fast) but if you buy the rechargable ones... It worked great and the volume level had a wide range from loud to soft. Everything stayed cool all day on the beach, of course I used freezer packs, but nevertheless it did it's job.I only purchased it for the speakers but it describes a built in radio- did not exist in mine. I don't care about that because I only intended to use it with my iPod. But thought it was worth mentioning that the description wasn't completely accurate. I admit when I received it, it was smaller than I had picytured, but turns out to be perfect! Carries just enough for our trip to the pool and the it's nice we can both listen to one ipod without headphones. I was surprised how long the speakers last on one set of batteries! You know the batteries are dying when the speakers sound "rattle-ly". It's easy to forget to turn the unit off after removing your iPod so be sure to check it before you pack up! Plenty of space to carry extra batteries! |
