We bought the Crocodile Creek lunch box for our daughter to take to kindergarten after poring over the internet trying to find a company that made something safer than... well, everything else out there. With all the press about lead in Chinese-made vinyl lunch boxes, even looking for something safe for a child to carry their lunch in is intimidating.
This seems to be the best option despite being made in China. There's a great deal of documentation on Crocodile Creek's testing standards around the internet. As well, they are carried by a number of reputable toy dealers who make efforts to test their products.
As for the lunch box itself, it's very attractive, spacious, and functional. The colors and print are true to the photo. We also bought the matching stainless steel water bottle with the multiple butterflies and it really makes for a lovely set. My little girl adores it, and is so proud of her first lunch box. I got this lunch bag for my 18 month old daughter for her nursery school. I think she likes the fact that she can carry it all by herself. It's easy to clean ( inside & out) and it has a cute little pocket out the outside for utensils, napkins or little notes from mummy! The only thing I think it should have is a netting on the inside like it does on the back - that way I could put a little frozen bag in there to keep everything chilled until her lunch time. I also got the matching backpack and will eventually get the cute water bottle. Love this line - great for LITTLE KIDS!!

This was my daughter's first lunch box, and she loves it! It is well made, and I believe it will last quite a while. Easy to wipe out, and she loves the design. Despite all of her toys, this was one of her favorite Christmas presents!

The concept is good, but the execution is shoddy, so I couldn't recommend easylunchboxes. I've used Lunchsense lunchboxes for a couple years now and they're going strong. A bit more expensive but very much worth it!

I bought these after several people recommended them. They are a nice idea and they are easy for my son to open, but after only two weeks of light use (I've been rotating them so each one has only been used a few times), two of the bottoms have large cracks in them. I'm very disappointed because I had high hopes for this product and now I'll need to find an alternative that is more durable.

If you are looking for a way to fix lunch for your kids fast and remind you about portions this is great. I used this set for my son last year at school (his dietician recommended cutting out at least 1 school lunch a week to help with his weight). With heavy use (daily)- my son dragging the bag on and off the bus they held up great. I occasionally would toss the coolers in our front load washing machine. I will remind you that the lids are suposed to be easy for kids to get on and off so they are not air tight liquids like canned fuit will spill. I would freeze the cooler bag and the container with yogurt in the medium spot (to keep it really cool and prevent spillage). There is plenty of room for all kinds of creations and a water bottle or juice pouch (frozen too)then there is no need for ice packs. Tabs on the lid will break if your child is not carefull so teach them how to open them. They are still usable when this happens. The easy lunch box website has lots of ideas... Read more
