With all the press about lead in Chinese-made vinyl lunch boxes, even looking for something safe for a child to carry their lunch in is intimidating.This seems to be the best option despite being made in China. There's a great deal of documentation on Crocodile Creek's testing standards around the internet. As well, they are carried by a number of reputable toy dealers who make efforts to test their products. As for the lunch box itself, it's very attractive, spacious, and functional. The colors and print are true to the photo. We also bought the matching stainless steel water bottle with the multiple butterflies and it really makes for a lovely set. I think she likes the fact that she can carry it all by herself. It's easy to clean ( inside & out) and it has a cute little pocket out the outside for utensils, napkins or little notes from mummy! The only thing I think it should have is a netting on the inside like it does on the back - that way I could put a little frozen bag in there to keep everything chilled until her lunch time. I also got the matching backpack and will eventually get the cute water bottle.
