Our daughter picked out one of these bags last summer for taking her lunch to kindergarten. She loves it because no one else has one like it and it is easy for her to carry and use. She packs almost every day and her bag gets pretty dirty from the regular use, but we throw it in a delicates bag in the washing machine and it comes out looking new. This bag is also very spacious - it has plenty of room for a full size sandwich container, plus three other smaller containers, a drink, and an ice pack. There are two mesh pockets inside for holding things in place and a pocket on the outside. I love that is free from harmful substances and that it is made by a company with integrity. These bags are so great we're going to buy another one for our son. 6 of 7 people found the following review helpful By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Dabbawalla Lunch Bag, Slice of Summer Watermelon (Baby Product) This lunch box is amazing. We have 3 Dabbawalla lunch boxes altogether for our kids. They've been well used, well loved and held up really well.Pros: - Easy for the kids to open/close and get their lunches in and out of - Roomy without being too huge or bulky - Fit lots of food and types of containers (bento boxes; laptop lunch box 2.0 fits just fine inside, with enough room for an extra container or piece of fruit, plus ice packs; hot soup thermos) - MACHINE WASHABLE!! - Nice designs for the kids to choose from and enjoy Cons: - Condensation and spills will soak through eventually These are neoprene, and so are water permeable - Not sufficiently insulated for packing dinner (but they keep everything plenty cold enough from 6AM to Noon) 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful By This review is from: Dabbawalla Lunch Bag (Baby Product) I've had this lunch bag for over 6 months and it's been great. I wasn't happy when I first received it in the mail because there was an awful odor. I washed it a dozen times and aired it out but it was probably a month before the smell really went away. I did a lot of research and wanted something made of safe materials. It was surprisingly hard to find lunch bags that were cute, not made of vinyl or lead, and the right size. So, I was quite happy to find this one. The monkey is as cute as in the picture. It's also a good size with a mesh pocket inside for sippy or straw cup and another mesh pouch for utensils, etc. It's machine washable which is a big plus. It's held up very well and still looks new. I would recommend this lunch bag but advise to purchase in advance in case it comes straight from the factory and still has an odor. (I don't think all of them will smell because I saw one in a store after I purchased mine and it had no odor at all.) |
