My daughter packs lunch every day. A lunch meat sandwich with mayo, a fruit or raw veggie, yogurt or cheese, and a refrigerated juice box. She eats about 5 hours after leaving home and says all the food is cold. When she returns home (about 4 hours later) the bag and any leftovers are still cool, but not enough that I'd want to save them unless it's a whole unpeeled piece of fruit. I've successfully washed it by rubbing water and dish liquid over the soiled areas and letting it air dry. I like that you don't need freezer packs, which are heavy,take up room and get wet when they cool off. It is more expensive than regular lunch boxes, but the features are worth it for me. I've read more than a few bad reviews but I like it and so does my daughter. Also wish there were a few more choices in colors or patterns for boys. All in all, it's a good product, it works, and I'm happy with my purchase.
