The two pocket are great. I keep paper napkins in the front zipper pocket, and my utensils in the end slip pocket. The slip pocket was intended for water/soft drinks, but I've found that slipping these into the main compartment keeps things colder for longer periods.I was looking for a lunch box to slip into my large tote bag. My first purchase was the eBags slim lunchbox. It turns out the slim lunchbox was relatively slim- compared to a full sized lunchbox! The slim lunch box is also somewhat rigid, meaning that it retains it's full shape no matter what I put in it. I found a good use for it (day trips in the car), but had to continue my search. The Bistro looks great on its own and the soft-sided design allows it lay flat and conform to my slim lunch containers. It slips nicely into my tote bag and is just over an inch thick when empty. I ordered it to use as a purse. Designer bags have too much "bling" for my taste - I prefer a roomy purse with little or no decoration, and this is it. There are no pockets on the inside (as expected), so I used mesh cosmetic bags to separate and store the things I used to keep in my purse pockets. This worked quite well. This bag is the perfect size: 12X8X5. The silver lining makes it easy to see what you're carrying. The insulation makes the bag sturdy and it stands on it's own.I was lucky enough to get one of the black ones ("black" has been out-of-stock for about 5-6 weeks). If they make it in gray or navy I will buy another one. |
